GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

A letter to the one carrying loss—openly or in secret

Some losses are loud.
Others are quiet—felt in moments you can't explain.
In either case, something changed. And life hasn’t felt the same since.

Someone you love is gone.
Or a dream collapsed.
Or a part of you is missing, and you're not even sure what it was.
All you know is, you can't go back. And you’re not sure how to go forward.

You’ve kept moving. You’ve held it together.
You’ve done what needed to be done.
But the weight hasn’t lifted. And deep down, maybe you can feel something beneath the pain.
Something calling, something not to miss.

That’s where this group begins.

This process isn’t about “moving on.”
It’s about moving with—letting grief move your life, not erase what mattered.
It’s about honoring what was, naming what’s real now, and making room for what's next.

Sometimes that starts in silence.
Sometimes it begins with words you haven’t said out loud yet.

Wherever you are in the process—early, late, or stuck somewhere in the middle—
This will be a space to help you create room for the truth, the ache,

and the beginning inside the ending.

We go at a natural pace.
We follow what’s alive.
And we listen for the quiet thread that’s still pulling you toward life.

If you're ready, we'll meet you there.

What This Work Can Support

  • Loss of a loved one—recent or long ago
  • Grief that feels ambiguous, delayed, or hard to name
  • Transitions that feel like endings (divorce, health, identity, role, belief)
  • Emotional numbness, confusion, or the sense of being “out of sync”
  • Spiritual or existential disorientation after loss
  • The quiet weight of unacknowledged or unshared grief
  • Carrying grief while also holding space for someone else

You don’t have to know what “stage” you’re in.
You just need a place to be real with what you’re carrying—
in the presence of others who can hold it with care.

What to Expect

This is a circle with gentle structure—not a free-for-all, and not a lecture.

In each meeting, there is room for:

  • Checking in (as much or as little as you want)
  • Listening without fixing
  • Making space for what’s true
  • Guided practices at times (grounding, reflection, simple somatic noticing)
  • Closing in a way that helps you return to your week with steadiness

No one is required to share on day one.
Listening counts. Silence counts.
You’re allowed to arrive exactly as you are.

How We Meet Together

Grief has its own timeline.
It’s not linear, and it doesn’t follow clean rules.

In this group, there isn’t pressure to “get over it.”
Instead, we create space for grief to do what it came to do:

  • To honor what mattered
  • To tell the truth about what changed
  • To reconnect you to meaning
  • To mark the threshold between who you were—and who you’re becoming now

I’ll bring presence, steadiness, and facilitation.
You bring your story, your silence, or whatever is showing up.

Together, we’ll build something simple and uncommon:
a place where grief can breathe.

This Group Is Likely a Good Fit If:

  • You’re open to support in a group format
  • You can participate respectfully (even when emotions are strong)
  • You can hold others’ stories without trying to fix them
  • You can commit to the group cadence for the cohort window

This Group May Not Be The Right Fit If:

  • Immediate crisis support is needed
  • A higher level of care is required (IOP/inpatient)
  • You’re only seeking 1:1 counseling right now

If it’s not a fit, you’ll still be treated with care—and I'll help you toward a next step that makes sense.
